  • Absolutely measuring functional principle

  • Various interfaces are available

  • High safety

  • Customer-specific adjustments and special solutions

  • Wear-free technology

  • Easy handling and mounting

CT and MRI scanners
They consist of a  patient table and a gantry (ring tunnel), which contains a radiation tube and a detector. The patient to be radiated lies on the patient table and is moved into the gantry tunnel. Exact positioning of the region to be radiated is required in order to obtain good radiation results. Here, SIKO magnetic sensors are used for horizontal or vertical positioning of the patient table. Real- or quasi-absolute measurement technology is most commonly used in medical engineering in order to avoid reference travels after a de-energized state.

X-ray apparatuses
In X-ray apparatuses, too, highly precise positioning of radiation is required in order to radiate only the tumor tissue in the treatment of tumors for example.
For this reason, the radiation unit is recalibrated and realigned before treating a new patient. SIKO inclination sensors for exact angle positioning of  +/- 0.1° are used for this purpose. They stand out due to their great robustness when exposed to X-rays.

Laboratory and analytical technology
Magnetic distance measuring systems are also needed in laboratory and analytical technology, e.g. for liquid handling systems. They are used for fast and effective analysis and evaluation of thousands of substances. Here, exact postioning of the x, y, and z axes is mandatory. SIKO's absolute sensors reliably feed back the exact position of the test substances.
