Regardless of whether subject to hot or cold environments, shocks or vibrations, water, mud or dust, mobile machines such as commercial vehicles, construction equipment, municipal vehicles and agricultural machinery must function reliably under all conditions. To ensure this, sensors are needed that capture and deliver data continuously under the toughest requirements. SIKO has developed PURE.MOBILE technology for these applications and launched it on the market as a sensor kit.
What is the PURE.MOBILE sensor kit from SIKO?
Unlike a sensor from the industry, which is only adapted for commercial vehicles, for example, a position sensor from the SIKO technology platform PURE.MOBILE has been designed and developed 100% for the acquisition of measured values in commercial vehicles. PURE.MOBILE does not stand for a special product line, but describes several quality features that a sensor marked with PURE.MOBILE technology must meet. This results in a variety of advantages:
Advantages of PURE.MOBILE Technology
- Each sensor is also available as a safety sensor for applications up to Performance Level d (PLd)
- Protection classes up to IP6K9K
- Extended temperature range: -40…+85° C (Optional: +105° C)
- High EMC compatibility
- Robust when exposed to shocks and vibration
- Expandable and configurable function via extension boards (sensor kit), such as tilt, DIP switch, digital I/O
- E1 (UN ECE R10) compliant
- Sensors designed exclusively for demanding use in commercial vehicles
Step by step to the right position sensor
The PURE.MOBILE sensor kit has been developed to ensure the greatest possible flexibility for you. With the help of the extensive configuration options, you will consequently be able to assemble the ideal sensor for your application. You will always find the right position sensor for your application with the following instructions
Which sensors are available?
With the PURE.MOBILE sensor kit, you can find the appropriate position sensor or inclination sensor for your application. Our wire-actuated encoders, encoders and inclinometers measure positions rotatively and linearly as well as speed and inclinationg.
What individual configuration of the sensors is possible?
Our rotary encoders/encoders can be extended by the PURE.MOBILE sensor kit with optional extension boards. This makes it possible to add additional functions, such as inclination measurement, parameterization or digital inputs/outputs. The ideal sensor is created.
What interfaces are available for the sensors?
Our sensors for mobile machines and commercial vehicles are available with CANopen, CANopen Safety, Analog, SAEJ1939 and HTL/TTL interfaces. Thus, the sensors can be quickly and easily integrated into almost any application.
Are the sensors also suitable for safety-critical applications?
Each sensor in the PURE.MOBILE modular system is available in a safe version. These safety sensors can also be used in safety-critical applications up to Performance Level d (PLd). The design of both variants does not change. Therefore, mechanical adjustments to your application are not necessary.
